Valentine’s Day lingerie buying trends

The Indian lingerie market has undergone a transformation in recent years, a report by the Times of India revealed recently.

In the run-up to Valentine’s Day, differences between men and women’s shopping habits have become clear.

Men seem to have become more comfortable buying lingerie for their other halves, the newspaper revealed, but one underwear expert, Saurabh Dadu, said their choices differ to the type of lingerie women would buy for themselves. Women look for comfort, Dadu revealed, while men look for aesthetic factors.

“Men go for more alluring colours and appealing designs and generally demand more seductive and attractive lingerie. They don’t shy away from buying risque lingerie,” the lingerie shop co-founder said.

Some of the most popular designs include bow-back thongs in silk chiffon, which seem to be a hit with men aged 27 to 39. More classic, elegant styles are popular with men aged between 39 and 49, Saurabh Dadu told the publication.

Online retailers who sell lingerie, such as Fashion World which you can visit here, are experiencing more and more people buying the garments.

Many websites are offering ‘how to’ tips for male buyers who want to give the woman in their life the gift of beautiful underwear this Valentine’s Day.
